6-8-12, Day 2 – Internship

Well I jumped right in first thing this morning with prepping products for the bakery, which included Pate a Choux (eclairs), cookies, scones, bars and pies.  Next on the list was getting lots and lots of cupcakes filled and decorated.  I also got to make whoopie pies, which is the first time I’ve made them.  So many other tasks done today, from making lemon curd, to scaling product for large batches of buttercream and packaging product for the retail store.  It was a busy day, since this weekend Dartmouth College has their graduation and of course cakes for graduation parties!  Worked a later shift today, but still had enough energy to get a workout in.  Now winding down before calling it a night:)  The one thing I hope I never see in the wee early hours of the morning, is a bear!  Some say it’s skunks you have to worry more about:)  That’s it for now!

It just all looks so good, I wish I could be there to sample it.
